Materials and care
Materials and care
Manufactured from 1018 steel or 304 stainless steel, depending on selected configuration.
Store the calibration block in the supplied case when not in use.
Keep the reference surfaces clean, dry, and free from oil, corrosion, impact damage, and heavy scratching.
Wipe off ultrasonic couplant after use to prevent surface contamination or corrosion.
Avoid dropping the block or striking the calibrated faces and machined reference features.
Apply appropriate corrosion protection for carbon steel versions during long-term storage.
Handle with clean gloves or wipe after handling to reduce fingerprints and surface oxidation.
Verify certificate details and dimensional requirements before use in controlled inspection procedures.
